A walkway or garden gate is close enough to touch every day, so the details and the latch matter. Fabco Fabrications builds custom walkway gates, garden gates and matching trellises for homes, churches and businesses in Rome, Floyd County and Northwest Georgia, from our shop in Cave Spring, just southwest of Rome.

Where walkway gates make sense
Garden and side-yard gates in a fence or between brick or stone piers.
Courtyard and entry gates fitted under an arch or porch opening.
Pool and pet gates where you need a gate that closes and latches reliably.
Trellises and arbors to frame a gate or a garden path.
One customer described it this way: “my wife has been asking me about a trellis for our house. Once again, I called on Jimmy with Fabco for advice. He met us at our home and discussed what she had in mind. A few weeks later Fabco was there installing the trellis.” (Bob H., Google review)
Materials and design
We build in steel, aluminum, cast iron and stainless steel, and can add brass, bronze or wood accents. A walkway gate can match an existing fence or railing, pick up a pattern from your house, or be a one-off piece with scrollwork, a monogram or an arched top. Aluminum is a good fit near pools and sprinklers because it doesn’t rust. Steel gives a heavier, more traditional wrought-iron feel.
Practical details we think about
Swing direction and clearance on sloped walks and steps.
Latches and hardware: easy-to-use latches, and self-closing hinges where a pool or pet gate needs them.
Posts and footings stiff enough that the gate doesn’t sag over time.
Pool barriers. If the gate is part of a pool fence, local code usually sets the height, gap and self-closing/self-latching rules. We’ll confirm the requirements with you before we build.
Where we work
We build walkway and garden gates throughout Rome and Floyd County and around Northwest Georgia, including homes up toward Summerville. See all areas we serve.

Frequently asked questions
Can you match my existing fence or railing?
Send us photos or have us look on site. Matching picket spacing, rail profiles and finials is a normal part of designing a gate to sit in an existing fence.
Do you build trellises and arbors too?
Yes. We build trellises, and a matching arbor or trellis can frame a garden gate.
Will a metal garden gate sag?
A well-built gate on properly sized posts shouldn’t. Sag usually comes from undersized posts, weak hinges or a frame that isn’t braced. We size those parts for the gate’s weight and width.
