A well-made metal sign lasts for decades and tells people they’ve arrived. Fabco Fabrications designs and builds custom metal signs and sign frames for neighborhoods, churches, cemeteries, businesses and communities in Rome, Floyd County and Northwest Georgia, from our shop.
A “Welcome – Rome – Floyd County” sign from our sign gallery.
Signs we make
Subdivision and neighborhood entrance signs, often set into brick or stacked-stone monuments.
Church signs with names, crosses and pastor panels.
Cemetery and historic-district signs and markers.
Hanging and blade signs on scroll brackets for downtown storefronts.
Building name panels, plaques and dimensional lettering.
Memorial and dedication plaques for benches, gardens and sculpture.
You’ll find examples of each of these in the project photos below.
Materials and construction
We work in aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass, bronze, cast iron and wood. Aluminum is light and rust-free, so it suits most outdoor panels. Steel makes strong frames, posts and brackets. Brass and bronze give plaques a traditional finish. Lettering can be cut, raised or applied, and the sign can be post-mounted, hung from a bracket, wall-mounted or built into a masonry monument.
How a sign project works
Consultation. We talk about where the sign goes, viewing distance, the wording and any logo.
Design. We agree on the layout, materials and mounting.
Fabrication. Built in our Cave Spring shop.
Installation. Mounted on posts, brackets, walls or masonry.
Many cities and counties need a sign permit, and HOAs often have their own rules. Check what applies before ordering. For entrance projects we can build the matching gate or fence too (see entrance gates).
Where we work
We build signs for neighborhoods, churches and businesses in Rome and Floyd County and around the region, including Cartersville. Businesses can also see commercial metal fabrication. See all areas we serve.

Frequently asked questions
Can you build a sign into a brick or stone entrance wall?
Yes. Many of our entrance signs are panels or letters set into masonry monuments, and others are post-mounted or framed.
What material is best for an outdoor sign?
Aluminum is the usual choice for outdoor panels because it’s light and doesn’t rust. Steel suits frames, posts and brackets, and brass or bronze suit plaques.
Do you make hanging signs for storefronts?
Yes. Hanging and blade signs on decorative iron brackets work well on downtown streets.
